December 2024 — On December 6, 2024 the CWA Team went on a field trip to the Wharton Esherick House in Malvern, Pennsylvania. They spent a very inspiring afternoon there getting a detailed tour of the live-work site, which includes Esherick’s Studio, Garage and Workshop (which was designed in collaboration with Louis Kahn and Anne Tyng). The buildings, unique works of art themselves, are filled with Esherick’s furniture, sculptures, woodblock prints and paintings, along with several personal belongings which tell the story of the artist, his aspirations, and his contributions to the Studio Furniture Movement. The tour was followed up by an enjoyable end-of-the-year Holiday Dinner!
