At the eastern tip of Long Island, so far east that it is more rightly claimed by Connecticut than New York, sits the nine-mile span of Fishers Island. Among the small docks, shingle-clad homes and working fishing boats, CWA designed a modern vacation home that looks as if it has always been there. With a front porch the length of the house and an upper deck on the second level, the ocean can be viewed from both the north and the south of the tiny island. A large, open first floor room brings the family together for meals and relaxation after a day at the beach. The master bedroom suite allows for privacy on the ground floor, with three additional rooms upstairs.
