September 28-29, 2024: Team CWA had three riders in this year’s Bike MS City to Shore ride raising almost $4K for the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) research, treatment, and support. Captain Susan Chisholm (center) and George Buckmann (right) rode both days, logging a 150-mile round-trip in good time; rookie-rider Peter DiCarlo had a weary but spirited finish at 100 miles. The tie-dyed jersey they wore sports Virgil-the-office-spaniel’s doggy visage on the back. City to Shore – roughly, Philadelphia to Ocean City, New Jersey – is known to be one of the best-organized distance rides in the county. In practice, it is scenic pleasure punctuated with rest stops and salty snacks. The Team is already looking forward to adding more riders for next year.
